Why human creativity matters

Screenery Terms & Conditions

  1. 1. Show names and affiliation

    Screenery is an independent digital scenery service and is not officially affiliated with, partnered with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any theatre company, production, musical, playwright, composer, publisher, or rights holder unless specifically stated otherwise. Show and musical names may be used to describe what a scenery pack is designed or inspired for. These names are used for identification and compatibility purposes only and do not mean that the product is an official production asset.

  2. 2. Payment

    Payment must be made before work begins. Payment can be made by bank transfer, Revolut, PayPal or Ko-fi. Work will begin once payment has been received.

  3. 3. Preview and changes

    For custom Screenery, an initial design or preview will be provided before the rest of the pack is completed. You can request reasonable changes at this stage. Once the design has been approved, the remaining scenery will be created based on the approved design.

  4. 4. Refunds

    Because Screenery products are digitally created and custom work is made specifically for each customer, refunds are generally not available once work has started. If a project has only just begun and no substantial work has been completed, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the situation.

  5. 5. File formats and delivery

    Screenery can be supplied as high quality image files, PDF files, PowerPoint files where suitable, or another agreed digital format. You are not required to use any specific software to use your Screenery. Large files may be delivered using services such as WeTransfer or another suitable file transfer service.

  6. 6. Usage rights

    Each Screenery order includes specific usage information stating what production or productions the scenery may be used for and how many performances or runs are covered. You will receive these details with your completed files. Your permission to use the scenery is limited to the usage agreed at the time of purchase.

  7. 7. Sharing and redistribution

    Screenery files are supplied for use by the customer and their agreed production only. Files must not be resold, uploaded publicly, shared with other productions, given to other theatre companies, or redistributed in any form without permission from Screenery.

  8. 8. Ownership and copyright

    Screenery designs and artwork remain the intellectual property of Screenery unless a separate agreement states otherwise. Purchasing a Screenery pack gives you permission to use the files according to the agreed usage terms. It does not transfer ownership or copyright of the original artwork to the customer.

  9. 9. Custom work and customer information

    For custom Screenery, customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their production, including the show, performance dates, venue, number of performances and any specific requirements. Screenery is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

  10. 10. Originality and third party rights

    Screenery scenery is created independently and is not intended to reproduce official scenery, production photography, designs or copyrighted assets belonging to other companies or rights holders. Where a pack is inspired by an existing production or musical, it is created as an independent interpretation for use as digital scenery. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have any necessary theatrical, performance or other rights required to stage their production.
