Friendly answers to licensing questions

SCREENERY DIGITAL only rents to officially licensed productions. It keeps the creative work protected, supports rights holders, and helps your show stay fully compliant. If you are unsure, I can help you understand what counts as proof.

What is included in a projection package?

A curated set of high-resolution projection files for your show scenes, sized for stage use and ready to load into your playback setup.

Are the preview visuals watermarked?

Yes. Previews are watermarked for protection. Once your booking and licence are confirmed, you receive the clean files.

Do I need a show licence?

Yes. I can only rent to officially licensed productions, and proof can be a confirmation email, receipt, or reference number.

How will I run the projections?

You will run the files on your own system. Most customers use QLab, PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools they already know.

Do you provide playback software?

I provide the projection files only. Playback software and projectors are supplied by your production team, but I can suggest options if needed.

Licensing first

We can only finalise rentals after official licence proof.

Once you share confirmation, we’ll confirm your booking and release the files. It keeps your production legal and protects everyone involved.

Quick note: Proof is needed before files are delivered.

When to send proof

As soon as it’s approved. We can hold a slot, but we can’t deliver files without confirmation.

What we may request

  • Show title and performance dates
  • Licensor or rights holder
  • School, theatre, or company name

How to share it

Email a screenshot or PDF of the licence confirmation. If approval is pending, send the expected date.

Files only, you control playback

We provide the projection files only. Playback and control are handled by your team using your own software (QLab, PowerPoint, Canva, or similar).
